The i-Ready Classroom Mathematics program is a multifaceted approach to teaching and learning mathematics.  Students engage in teacher-led lessons wherein they are introduced to the concept and vocabulary through modeling and explicit examples.  Then, students have an opportunity to practice both in small groups and independently.  In addition to the printed materials with instructions, examples, and practice problems, students are also given opportunities to develop their skills with online lessons, checkpoints, and interactive games.

The program:

• Encourages students to develop a deeper understanding of mathematics concepts through the embedded Standards for Mathematical Practice
• Builds on students' prior knowledge with lessons that make connections within and across grade levels and directly address the major focus of the grade
• Incorporates a classroom mathematics routine that promotes conversations and increases accessibility of the mathematics for all students
