COMPASS

COMPASS (Community, Parent, School, Student) is a science-based approach, which builds on the belief that community coalitions can prevent alcohol and drug dependency as well as reduce youth crime rates.  This can be accomplished by early identification of individual, family, school, and community risk factors.  By building a web of protective, evidence-based prevention strategies and services, change can take place.

MISSION STATEMENT
Recognizing family and youth as our most valuable resources, COMPASS of Íæż½ã½ã/Brightwaters unites to: reduce substance use among youth; create a strong collaborative within the community; cultivate healthy attitudes and behaviors.
