ImPact Concussion Monitoring Program

Expanding Student-Athlete Safety

The Board of Education recently approved the use of the ImPact concussion monitoring program for Íæż½ã½ã School Íæż½ã½ã student-athletes in grades 7-12. The program will require pre and post Neurocognitive baseline testing of those student-athletes who participate in a high contact or collision sport. Testing will be conducted prior to the beginning of each athletic season.

After the initial testing of student athletes, testing will be done on a every other year basis; 9th grade and again in 11th grade. The baseline test will provide medical and training staff with objective and quantitative data to determine when a student-athlete can safely begin the return to play protocols (RTP).
